You can easily record a video preview when you’re calling someone. Then when the person you’re calling receives the call, he or she can see you’re the one who’s calling and hear the reason for your call. When you receive a call, you can see and hear the video preview of the caller and decide to accept the call, decline it, or let it go to FaceCall’s unique video voicemail.
When you place video calls with the FaceCall app, the people you’re calling can automatically see your face. So they know at a glance that you’re the caller and are more likely to pick up. And when people call you, you know at a glance who it is and can decide whether to answer. With other video calls, you can’t see and hear who’s calling until you answer.
No. The FaceCall breakthrough is the video preview, and it can’t be imitated, because the FaceCall technology is protected by several patents.
You can easily download the iOS version from the App Store or the Android version from the Google Play Store.

Security and Privacy
Privacy and security are in our DNA, which is why FaceCall is protected by end-to-end encryption. So your messages, photos, videos, voice messages, documents, status updates and calls are protected by state-of-the-art security.
FaceCall has no ability to see the content of messages or listen to calls that are end-to-end encrypted, because messages sent and received on FaceCall occur entirely on your device.
Before a message leaves your device, it’s secured with a cryptographic lock, and only the recipient has the keys to view the message. In addition, the keys change with every message.
All of the encryption occurs automatically.
You can confirm your conversations are protected by checking the security verification code on your device.
End-to-end encryption has applications to law enforcement. We are obliged to review, validate, and respond to law enforcement requests based on applicable laws and policies. We prioritize emergency requests.
Yes. We recommend you back up your data often. Then you’ll be prepared if your data must be restored.
In order for you to record a video or add to the contact list in your device, the FaceCall app needs you to grant access to the corresponding data. You can easily manage these permissions in your FaceCall Settings.
You are the owner of your content. If you mark your video as private, it will not be available to the public.
When you publish your video content in the FaceCall community, you grant FaceCall a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, fully paid, sub-licensable and transferable license to use, edit, modify, reproduce, distribute, and prepare derivative works of and otherwise fully use your video content in connection with our app and our communications platform.
Since video content includes your name, likeness, voice, video, or photograph, when you use FaceCall, you’re acknowledging and agreeing to our terms of use.
We ask you to provide your phone number when you register your account in the app. It’s how we verify that you’re a real person.
Our team also randomly monitors and verifies video introductions, so we can delete videos where the face of the user cannot be seen or if there is any other reason to doubt the authenticity of the video.
No. We treat the privacy of our users very seriously and have no intention to share or sell your private information with third parties.
Voice and Video Calls
Open FaceCall and tap the Calls tab. Find the contact you want to make a voice call to and tap Voice Call.
Voice calls enables you to call your FaceCall contacts for free, whether they’re next door or even in another country, because voice calling in FaceCall uses your phone’s internet connection, not your plan’s mobile minutes. Data charges may apply.
You can make a video call to any of your FaceCall contacts.
Open FaceCall and tap the Calls tab. Find the contact you want to place a video call to and tap Video Call.
While on the video call, tap Video Off. It will notify the person you’re calling that you want to change to a voice call.
The other party can continue to display the video or switch to audio call, too. When the other person turns Video Call off, the entire call will be switched to audio only. You can also alternate between video calls and audio calls during the same call.
While you’re on a voice call, tap Video, which will notify the person you’re calling that you want to change the type of call. Once the contact turns Video Call on, too, the call will be switched to a video call.
My Account
Yes. It’s the name that will be displayed to all other FaceCall users when they see your account.
You only need to create it when you register your account in the app.
Only when you invite others to become members of your FaceCall community. We ourselves do not share your personal information. We ask you for your phone number only when you register in the app so we know you’re a real person and can eliminate fake accounts and robocallers.
Please, contact our Help Center promptly. Our Team will conduct a research to locate the person and prevent any further attempts to imitate you.
You can edit your username in your Profile tab at any time. Since any account must have a username, you cannot simply delete it.
If you ever decide you no longer wish to use the FaceCall app, you can delete your account in the Settings tab.
Troubleshooting
If you’re having issues using the Change Number feature, please make sure that:
- Your old phone number is currently registered on your FaceCall account. You can see the phone number by going to your FaceCall Profile tab. If your old phone number isn’t registered, please register it. Then you should be able to change it.
- You have an active and working SIM card for the new phone number you want to use with FaceCall.
- You have a strong and stable cellular connection.
- Your phone has sufficient internal storage.
The most common reason is a bad Internet connection.
If you’re sure your phone is connected to the Internet, there are a few reasons why FaceCall messages aren’t going through:
- Your phone may need to be restarted or turned off and on.
- The contact you’re messaging has blocked your number.
If the timestamps displayed on your messages are incorrect, please check the time and time zone configuration on your phone. You may need to adjust them.
We recommend setting your date and time to Automatic or Network Provided. With this setting enabled, your mobile provider will set your phone to the correct time. If the incorrect time is still displayed when this setting enabled, then there might be an issue with your network. Please, contact your mobile provider to address it.
As a workaround, you can modify your date and time settings and correct your time zone manually.
Note: The time zone you’re in is different than the actual time. Make sure you select the correct time zone for your location.
To configure your time zone manually, please follow these steps on your phone:
- Android: Go to Settings > System > Date & Time.
- iPhone: Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
If you have a question or questions we haven’t answered, please, contact our Help Center, and we’ll get back to you promptly.
