FaceCall uses Video Caller ID to display a short, secure live video preview from the caller before the call connects. This lets you see the caller’s face and understand their intent instantly, so you can decide whether to answer, ignore, or block the call.
Are FaceCall calls really private and encrypted?
Yes. Every FaceCall video and voice call is protected with end-to-end encryption (E2EE). All data is encrypted on your device and decrypted only on the recipient’s device. FaceCall cannot access, listen to, or store your calls.
Does FaceCall store or record my video previews?
No. Video previews are streamed in real time and are never stored. Once you answer or reject a call, the preview data disappears automatically. FaceCall follows a zero-knowledge architecture with no call recordings or metadata selling.
What happens if someone calls me without FaceCall installed?
To see Video Caller ID previews, both parties need the FaceCall app. Calls still work as usual. FaceCall adds video context when both parties have it enabled.
